The wind has different effects on different folks. It makes me anxious and edgy and tense and can be really hard to deal with. It was WAILING today and I felt gusts that were at least close to 60mph. NEVERTHELESS I sallied forth into the wilderness and busted out some high mountain singletrack. Joey said ride some switchbacks to test The Transition so, I, of course, headed to Straight Jacket Hill. It's only ILL (logical). I lasted just over 2 hours out there (it's not the viagra, jason). Which makes the total for the last 5 days at something like 14 hours in the saddle. I am rooked. I am ready for my flt tomorrow (after another am ride and some yoga). I am ready for The Urban Chestnut in Saint Louis and The Four Seasons. I am ready, to give in and sleep and lie on soft things and be out of the wind for about 36 hours. Then, I will return to my mission with a vengeance.
