Yet another fire on the mountain, yesterday - about 1/4 mile from the house. Scary. But Fitness called it in and kept us in the loop and it was out by the time we got home. Quinn wanted to see it so we went and checked it out. Literally a few hundred yards from the house. Had there not have been a few weeks of rain, I could be typing from a yurt, erected on our burnt down house.
Got HUNGRU on the single today and went and did the climb to The Asso of Bet, laspped the Benjamin 3x, the main loop 2x and dropped back down for an afternoon of meetings. Rocked the single, and it felt fast and lovely and grand. Tomorrow, a boulder county classic with the Man of Fry. Long, and lovely, and we even get to ride through his new land at the entrance to a vintage piece of trail. It all comes together sometimes.......and it feels good when it does.
